MAHANAKORN University of Technology Strengthens Global Research Collaboration with TU Delft

MAHANAKORN University of Technology (MUT) has officially signed a research collaboration agreement with Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands to advance research in Biosensors, Bioelectronics, and Lab-on-a-Chip technologies. The partnership also strengthens collaboration among TU Delft, Imperial College London, and MAHANAKORN University of Technology through the Semiconductor AI & BioSensor Electronics Research Laboratory (SABER Lab).

The agreement builds upon more than 20 years of academic collaboration between Professor Wouter Serdijn of TU Delft and Prof. Dr. Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom of MAHANAKORN University of Technology. Over the years, Professor Serdijn has supervised the doctoral studies of MUT faculty members, laying the foundation for a strong and enduring partnership between the two institutions.

Among these scholars are Dr. Chutham, currently the only Thai researcher at the Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec) in Belgium, and Dr. Wannaya, now a faculty member at Inholland University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Their achievements demonstrate the long-term impact of international academic collaboration and research excellence.

Through this partnership, MUT students and faculty will have opportunities to participate in joint research projects, collaborate with internationally recognized researchers, exchange expertise, and expand their global academic networks. These initiatives are expected to strengthen the University’s research capabilities while supporting the development of future talent in semiconductor and biosensor technologies.

This collaboration marks another important milestone in MAHANAKORN University of Technology’s commitment to expanding international research partnerships, advancing innovation, and creating meaningful opportunities for academic and scientific excellence on the global stage.
