ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

Terms & Conditions

The Academic Scholarship is awarded to academically outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and strong English language proficiency.


Eligibility requirements

Applicants must:

  • Successfully satisfy all admission requirements of MUTIC.
  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.80 (or equivalent).
  • Achieve a minimum overall IELTS score of 7.0 (or equivalent recognized English language qualification approved by the university).
  • Submit complete academic transcripts, certificates, and supporting documentation for verification.
  • Successfully complete any interview, assessment, or evaluation required by the university.

Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee scholarship selection.


Scholarship benefits

  • Scholarship awards of up to 100% tuition fee coverage.
  • Scholarship amounts may vary according to applicant ranking, academic credentials, scholarship availability, and annual allocation.
  • Scholarship awards are granted on a competitive basis.

Selection process

Scholarship awards are determined through a comprehensive evaluation of:

  • Academic performance
  • English language proficiency
  • Academic achievements and awards
  • Leadership and extracurricular accomplishments (where applicable)
  • Scholarship availability for each intake

Where the number of qualified applicants exceeds available scholarship allocations, awards shall be granted according to the ranking of eligible candidates.


Service commitment requirement for full Scholarship recipients

Recipients awarded a 100% Academic Scholarship may be required to enter into a separate Scholarship Service Agreement with MAHANAKORN University of Technology.

Full scholarship recipients may be required to undertake employment, internship, research assistance, teaching assistance, administrative support, student leadership activities, university representation duties, or other assignments within MAHANAKORN University of Technology for a period and under conditions determined by the Scholarship Committee.

Under such agreement, recipients may be required to contribute to the university through:

  • Employment opportunities
  • Internship placements
  • Research assistance
  • Teaching assistance
  • Administrative support
  • Student leadership programs
  • Institutional development initiatives
  • Community engagement activities
  • Marketing and university representation activities
  • Other assignments deemed appropriate by the Scholarship Committee

The nature, duration, responsibilities, performance expectations, and conditions of such service commitment shall be determined by the university and communicated separately to scholarship recipients prior to acceptance of the award.

Recipients who fail to fulfil the obligations specified in the Scholarship Service Agreement may be subject to scholarship reduction, suspension, termination, reimbursement obligations, repayment requirements, or other actions deemed appropriate by the university in accordance with the terms of the agreement.


Scholarship renewal

To maintain the scholarship, recipients must:

  • Remain enrolled as a full-time student.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.80 or higher.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic standing.
  • Comply with all university regulations and disciplinary requirements.
  • Fulfil any scholarship monitoring or reporting requirements established by the university.

Scholarship eligibility is reviewed annually. Failure to maintain the required GPA may result in scholarship reduction, suspension, or termination.


Verification of academic credentials

The university reserves the right to verify all academic transcripts, certificates, English proficiency qualifications, and supporting documentation with issuing institutions and relevant authorities.

Submission of falsified, altered, incomplete, misleading, or fraudulent documentation may result in immediate cancellation of the scholarship and withdrawal of admission.


Scholarship suspension or termination

The university reserves the right to reduce, suspend, revoke, or terminate the scholarship if the recipient:

  • Fails to maintain the required cumulative GPA.
  • Provides false or misleading information during the application process.
  • Violates university regulations, policies, or disciplinary requirements.
  • Fails to satisfy scholarship renewal conditions.
  • Withdraws, transfers, takes leave of absence, or ceases active enrollment.
  • Fails to comply with any obligations established under a Scholarship Service Agreement.

Final decision

The final decision regarding scholarship awards is made by the Scholarship Selection Committee and is binding.

  • Scholarship awards are competitive and limited in number.
  • Scholarship awards are based on the ranking of qualified applicants.
  • All scholarship awards, scholarship values, renewals, suspensions, and terminations are determined solely by MUTIC.
  • The decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee shall be final and binding.
