Your First Week Is About More Than Classes
Starting university means entering a completely new environment.
New classmates.
New routines.
New opportunities.
And, for many international students, possibly a new country and culture as well.
MAHANAKORN CLUB O-WEEK 2026 was created to help students begin that transition by introducing them to the university community before university life becomes only lectures, assignments and deadlines.
The focus is simple: meet people, experience the community and discover what university life can offer beyond the classroom.
Find Your Community
One of the biggest changes when starting university is the number of new people around you.
MAHANAKORN International Club brings together students from different countries and backgrounds, creating opportunities to make friends, exchange cultures and become part of a more internationally connected student community.
O-WEEK activities highlight experiences such as:
- meeting new students from different backgrounds
- joining social and community activities
- taking part in cultural exchange
- discovering opportunities outside regular classes
- becoming involved with the international student community
These experiences can matter just as much as academics during the first weeks of university.
Having people to talk to, knowing where you belong and feeling comfortable participating can make a new campus feel much smaller very quickly.
University Is Bigger Than the Classroom
A degree may be the reason students come to university.
But it is rarely the only thing they remember.
Clubs, competitions, workshops, sports, cultural activities and friendships can all become part of the experience.
O-WEEK introduces students to that side of university life early.
It gives new students a chance to explore what interests them and discover communities they might not encounter through their academic program alone.
That is especially valuable in an international environment, where students may be learning alongside people with different languages, cultures and ways of thinking.
Building Skills Without Realising It
Student activities are not only about having something to do after class.
They can also develop skills that become useful later.
Joining a club can mean learning how to work with people you have just met.
Organising an activity can require planning and leadership.
Cultural exchange can improve communication and confidence.
Participating in projects and events can push students to step outside familiar routines.
These experiences happen differently from classroom learning, but they can become an important part of how students grow throughout university.
The Beginning of Your MAHANAKORN Experience
The university academic calendar places Orientation Day before the start of instruction for the 2026 academic year, reinforcing the idea that becoming familiar with the community is part of beginning university life.
O-WEEK extends that introduction beyond academic information.
It is about finding people, activities and experiences that can make the years ahead feel like more than simply completing a degree.
Because your university story is not only about what you study.
It is also about what you join, what you try and who you meet along the way.
